By Car
Blue Hayes is set back on the seaward side of Trelyon Avenue, the A3074, which is the main road in to St. Ives. It is well before you reach the town’s one-way system and is, therefore, easily accessible. Car parking is provided free for guests at the front of the Hotel. Guests travelling by car can arrive earlier, by prior notification, and park in our car park, then stroll into town, and return later.
From The A30
After the Hayle by-pass: At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A3074 (signposted St Ives). Drive over the first mini roundabout, then at the next mini-roundabout turn right (signposted St Ives). Continue forward onto the A3074. Entering Lelant. Continue forward onto St Ives Road A3074, driving through Carbis Bay. Continue forward at mini-roundabout (Tesco supermarket on your left) and down hill; at bottom of hill, just round the bend, turn right into Blue Hayes Car Park.
By Train
For guests arriving by train, the St Ives branch line connects with the main line service at St Erth, from where there are frequent services to St Ives.
There are no taxi ranks outside the station, and if you intend to take a taxi, it is strongly recommended you pre-book a taxi, (ACE CARS OF ST IVES +44 (0)1736 797799 ) and arrange to be met at the Station.

To Walk To Blue Hayes From St Ives Station
Exit the Station platform (there is only one) and turn immediate left up the pathway behind the Station, and follow the path up to the main road (A3074). At the top of the path, turn left on to Trelyon Avenue, and continue walking up the hill for about 600 yards – Blue Hayes is almost at the top of the hill on the left hand side.
Night Riviera Sleeper Train
You may wish to consider the GWR Night Riviera Sleeper Train from London Paddington to St Ives. This service leaves Paddington at 23:45, and travels through the night, so that you would arrive at St Ives at around 08:30 . just in time to join us for breakfast. You could then leave your luggage, and return later, thus gaining an extra day in St Ives.
By Air
Cornwall Airport Newquay is approximately 45 minutes from St Ives by car or taxi. There are scheduled flights from certain UK airports including London Gatwick. Taxis and pre-booked car hire are available at the airport terminal.
Overseas guests flying into London Heathrow and then travelling to St Ives by train, can take the Heathrow Express train from the airport to LONDON PADDINGTON station (a journey time of only fifteen minutes), from where you board the PENZANCE train.
Car Hire
Europcar are located at Penzance Railway Station, so if you are travelling by train, you can arrange to collect the hire car when you reach Penzance. Alternatively, you can take a bus, train or taxi from St Ives to Penzance. Telephone: +44 (0) 371 384 5975.
