These terms and conditions apply to the booking made between Blue Hayes Private Hotel (Blue Hayes) and the person from whom the booking has been accepted (the Guest).

BOOKINGS
A non-refundable Deposit of £50.00 per person is required to reserve any accommodation and is payable at the time of booking. A Booking must be confirmed in writing by Blue Hayes, and the deposit payment will be acknowledged. A Booking is only made on acceptance of the Deposit payment. The Deposit may be paid by Credit Card, Cash or Cheque. One night bookings are only made where the preceeding night and the following night are already booked.

SINGLE OCCUPANCY
Single occupancy of any room is charged as a supplement to the rate shown in the tariff at £50 per night.

CHILDREN AND PETS
Blue Hayes is unable to accommodate children below the age of ten years, unless by prior agreement.

Where children are permitted on the premises any child under the age of sixteen years must be properly supervised at all times, and under no circumstances, including negligence, will Blue Hayes be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages and expenses whatsoever in any matter relating to the children whilst they are on Blue Hayes’ premises.

If children arrive at Blue Hayes without proper supervision then Blue Hayes reserves the right to refuse them access until such time as Blue Hayes considers proper supervision has been provided.

Blue Hayes does not have any facilities to accommodate pets.

NON-SMOKING
Blue Hayes is a totally non-smoking establishment, and this extends to all areas and all rooms including bedrooms, terraces and balconies. All Guests are respectfully requested to observe this condition, and Blue Hayes reserves the right to terminate this contract forthwith and ask Guests that disregard this policy to leave the premises.

Without prejudice to the aforementioned, when entering into this contract, you specifically accept liability for any damage caused to persons or property through smoking on any part of Blue Hayes premises.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
All reservations are from 3.00pm on the day of arrival, and every effort will be made to have rooms ready for occupation by that time. Guests are asked to vacate their room by 11.00am on the day of departure, otherwise a further full day's rate may be charged.

ROOMS
All bedrooms have direct dial telephone, Internet access point, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, radio and hair dryer.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served in the Dining Room or on the Terrace (weather permitting) from 8.30am until 10.00am. Vegetarian dishes are included within the menu. Special diets can be catered for, subject to prior notification.

LIGHT SUPPER
Light Suppers can be served in the Dining Room or on the Terrace (weather permitting) from 7.00pm until 8.30pm., but are only available to advance order. Orders need to be placed at breakfast time on the day required or earlier.

COCKTAIL BAR
Blue Hayes is licensed to sell wines, spirits and beers.

CAR PARKING
Car parking is provided free for Guests in the car park at the front of the premises, but Blue Hayes does not accept any responsibility for damage or theft of vehicles or their contents.

ACCESS AND MOBILITY
Blue Hayes is built on a hillside, and comprises five levels, with steps between each level. We do not have a lift. As such, the premises are unfortunately unsuitable for wheelchair users or guests with mobility difficulties.

SPECIAL NEEDS
Please advise any special needs of anyone in the party at the time of booking. Should there be anything you feel Blue Hayes should be made aware of in order to ensure your comfort and safety whilst you are with us, please do not hesitate to inform us.

CANCELLATION
Twenty-eight days notice of a cancellation of booking is required. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Blue Hayes will make all reasonable efforts to re-let the accommodation, but if this fails, the Guest will be liable for an amount equal to two-thirds of the booking value. Where credit card details have been provided by the Guest for payment of the Deposit, Blue Hayes may debit the

Guest’s credit card with the balance due. We strongly recommend you insure against the possibility of cancellation.

Blue Hayes reserves the right to cancel a booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any cause beyond its control which prevents it from performing its obligations relating to any booking, and will refund the Deposit in full and have no further liability.

PAYMENT
Cheques are accepted provided they are covered by a valid banker's card. Blue Hayes reserves the right to ask for alternative payment or further identification. The following credit cards are accepted: Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Solo, JCB, American Express and Switch.

LOSS FROM OR DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY
The Guest agrees to indemnify Blue Hayes for any damage to Blue Hayes or the furnishings and equipment therein caused by the wilful act or default of themselves, their guests or any contractor or agent brought on to the premises at their request. The Guest agrees to pay to Blue Hayes on demand the amount required to make good or remedy the damage, or replace any items missing from Blue Hayes. If in the opinion of the proprietor of Blue Hayes any Guest is not suitable to remain on the premises because of unreasonable behaviour, damage or nuisance to other parties, the Guest may be asked to leave and also vacate their room, if applicable, and no refund shall be due.

LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO GUEST’S PROPERTY
Whilst every effort is made to safeguard Guests’ property, Blue Hayes does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to any cash, money, jewellery or other articles of value.

In the event of negligence on the part of Blue Hayes which gives rise to loss of or damage to property belonging to a Guest then Blue Hayes’ limit of liability will be limited to £50 for any single article and subject to a total of £100 in the case of any one person. No liability is accepted for any consequential loss arising from loss or damage to property of the Guest. Blue Hayes does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to motor cars or other vehicles of any kind, or any property lost in them. Blue Hayes refers to and relies upon The Hotel Proprietors Act 1956.

GUEST’S DUTY TO TAKE CARE
All Guests are required to take care to avoid accident or injury at all times whilst on the premises but extra care should be taken when in Blue Hayes’ gardens and especially when using the granite steps which are hazardous when wet.

NO CANDLES OR NIGHTLIGHTS
The use of candles, night lights or any other device incorporating a naked flame for the purpose of decoration or illumination is strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises.

GENERAL POINTS
No Guest shall arrange for the delivery of or deliver any goods or material to Blue Hayes without prior arrangement with Blue Hayes. No Guest shall store or place on the perimeter of or in Blue Hayes any inflammable, combustible or objectionable substances or liquid.

WAIVER
The failure of Blue Hayes to enforce or exercise, at any time, or for any period of time, any term of, or any right pursuant to this Agreement does not constitute and shall not be construed as a waiver of such term or right.
